How to report a bug
- Check if someone has already posted a report for this bug.
- Try to describe the problem and how it can be reproduced.
- Add error log from gameserver console (right click console / select all / press enter on keyboard to copy).
- Add screenshots (you can use https://imgbb.com/ to upload them).
- Name the topic describing what the problem is (try not to use random or big topic names).
- Keep unhelpful bug reports for yourselves.
- Use one post per bug report.
IF SOMETHING IS NOT IMPLEMENTED, IT IS NOT A BUG!
Unless you made it work and want to share with all of us.
ALSO don't use the word "bug" if something doesn't work as you wish it to work ("retail").
BUG means glitch, using it as an excuse to make us work for you is lame and will make the fix delay even more.
ACTUAL research and/or providing a tempfix, may result on an immediate solution for the problem.
Posts not following the above will be deleted without warning.
Posts not resolved within a month and ignored by the original poster will be deleted as well.
Imagine wanting to make a latest-update World of Warcraft server...
You Google it... ask ChatGPT... find out TrinityCore is the best project for the latest client...
You spend a day - if lucky enough - to run CMake without warnings... and finally compile with Visual Studio...
You spend another half a day trying to figure out how to run the client with your IP...
By this time, you join the TrinityCore forum and Discord and get shitcanned - not for asking project questions, but because you made a typo in your English...
After all this, you enter the game... only to find:
- Most player skills don’t exist or don’t work...
- No quests or instances working...
- Finicky movement/targeting compared to retail...
- Server deadlocking because you targeted some NPC...
- Not only are new systems not working, but even Vanilla/Classic things don’t work...
Now... compare that experience, or any other server emulator project, with what you get from L2jMobius.
Tell me again what your bug was? How does it effect player gameplay?
Ask yourself:
- Is this bug truly game-breaking?
- How does it impact actual gameplay?.
- Have I provided clear, respectful feedback to help improve the project?
